An actively managed global equity fund that invests in innovation-driven companies whose products and services not only shape the modern world but also drive its future.
We are at the forefront of a new cycle of innovation, where breakthroughs in areas such as artificial intelligence and chips for advanced computing will accelerate development exponentially. As the technology matures, technological advances will spill over from the IT sector to the wider economy. Over the next decade, hundreds of millions of jobs are expected to be automated, healthcare will be transformed with new computer-generated and personalised medicines, factories will be autonomously controlled and we will see the first truly self-driving cars. This new cycle of innovation is expected to be the fastest in history, creating great opportunities for companies that are early adapters and adopt the new technology.
Fund comment post US tariff announcement:
Following Donald Trump's announcement on 2 April 2025 that the US would impose tariffs ranging from 10% to 46% on imports from other countries, equity markets fell on concerns that US tariffs would hamper economic growth. The S&P 500 closed 4.8% lower, while the Nasdaq 100 plunged 5.4%.
Espiria Global Innovation has a global equity exposure to companies with a focus on innovation. The majority of the fund’s tech exposure is concentrated in the US, which has been hit hard in terms of stock performance in recent days. So far, however, there has been no negative earnings revision on company levels, but rather valuations have been decreasing due to market uncertainty.
